If you use reusable tourniquets in your organisation do you have to deep clean them at the end of the day as well as clinell wiping between patients? I'm working with a team who have been advised to Sani cloth tourniquets at the end of each day, however the cost of the Sani cloth is making the swap more expensive than disposable tourniquets. I'm keen to hear if people feel this additional step is necessary.

Hi,
I’ve worked in two trusts that use them and neither do this, neither do others I am aware of. I’m curious, are you also advised to do that for BP cuffs? The risk is the same.
Hi Zoe. That's a great counter argument to take back to IPC, thanks. What Trusts have you work in that have used them pleased? My thoughts are that a clinell wipe should be sufficient.
