The Planetary Health Alliance has reached a new milestone, and are pleased to share several updates on their collective progress and initiatives within the field. Read more in their newsletter This month's Planetary Health newsletter 🌐 (mailchi.mp)

With the recent inclusion of Kyrgyzstan, the Alliance now encompasses 456 organizations across 75 countries! In addition, PHA’s social media channels and Hylo network continue to see more engagement than ever before.

More than 120 individuals across six working groups are organizing meetings to carry forward the Planetary Health Action Plan's work on measurement, communication, education, governance, business, and mainstreaming. Each group is striving to make substantial progress before the 7th Annual Meeting (PHAM 2025) in Rotterdam, the Netherlands.

We are pleased to share that PHA, through its affiliation with Johns Hopkins University, was recently granted observer status to the Convention on Biological Diversity. We have established a delegation to send to COP16 in Colombia. The increasing presence of Planetary Health at multilateral conferences is a complement to the Governance pillar of the Roadmap and Action Plan. We will soon be circulating a form for member organizations to coordinate activities around COP16 and several other major events.

The Planetary Boundary Health Check is coming soon! This is a considerable reflection point and opportunity to raise awareness (including mass media) about the state of the natural systems upon which human civilization depends. Thanks to our partners at Global Commons Alliance for their support and leadership related to this effort. The role of business and investments in unlocking Planetary Health solutions was recently highlighted in a Forbes article
