HCPC Consultation on revised Standards of conduct, performance and ethics (SCPEs)

Hi everyone. Hopefully most of you are already aware that the HCPC who regulate 13 of 14 Allied Health Professions are currently Reviewing the standards of conduct, performance and ethics | (hcpc-uk.org). They have agreed to specifically consult on whether 'improving sustainability in health and care practice should be part of the standards. If so, how?' as a specific area within the consultation, and there is a sustainability specific consultation workshop being held on Monday 22nd May at 5pm (BST) Consultation workshop: Standards of conduct, performance and ethics - sustainability | (hcpc-uk.org).

It would be fantastic to see huge numbers both sign up and attend the workshop, and submit to the formal consultation to demonstrate how committed the health and care workforce is to this agenda. 

In case it is useful, we have uploaded some suggestions that we have sent for the HCPC to consider re. what and how to incorporate sustainability within the SCPEs. We have aligned these both to the past GMC consultation on Good Medical Practice and in collaboration with UKHACC. 

Please do feel free to refer to these if you find them at all helpful with your submission to the consultation. The better aligned we are, the better the likelihood of sustainability's inclusion.
