Hi everyone. We are reviewing our prescribing practice to reduce carbon footprint and are using the Lancet Medzero tool but have found that estimates of CO2e vary widely with each search. Being consistent with default country of origin and obviously also the medication formulation still doesn't resolve this completely. Does anyone have any experience with this or advice about what we may be doing wrong? Thank you.

No but it is new and they say they are looking to improve, so definitely worth contacting them either by email info@lancetmedzero.com or a form they have on the website for this https://forms.microsoft.com/Pages/ResponsePage.aspx?id=Xu-lWwkxd06Fvc_r…
Hi Sarah,
Its worth reading the methodology paper at https://www.medzerocarbon.com/about which goes into details about how they have calculated the CFs.
Which items have you found give different results? Happy to plug them in from here and see which values appear if it helps
Matt
