The Lancet Countdown Europe is an international, interdisciplinary research initiative dedicated to developing open, transparent, and rigorous indicators to track the impacts of climate change on population health. In addition to monitoring health outcomes, the initiative also assesses adaptation and mitigation efforts, economic and financial dimensions, and public and political engagement across Europe.
The third edition of the Lancet Countdown in Europe report will be published in The Lancet Public Health on April 22, 2026.
