Following continued success and growing engagement across the NHS, Cohort 5 of the Sustainable Healthcare Academy has now launched, with the programme commencing in October 2026. The Academy equips NHS colleagues with the knowledge and skills to lead projects that reduce environmental impact, improve patient and community outcomes, and advance trust’s Green Plan ambitions.
We are seeing particularly strong engagement from organisations that have embedded the Academy within their Net Zero and Apprenticeship Strategies. Several trusts now have eight or more learners actively participating in the programme, helping to drive Green Plan objectives, build capability across teams, and create momentum for sustainable working practices.
